William Kelley completed his Juris Doctor cum laude at Loyola University of Chicago, in 1980, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class. He served as an Associate Editor on the editorial board of the Loyola University Law Journal and received the American Jurisprudence Award in 1980. He also earned his baccalaureate degree cum laude at Loyola University of Chicago. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1980. Shortly after being admitted to practice in Illinois, he accepted a prestigious clerkship with the Louisiana Supreme Court from 1981 to 1982. In 1982, he returned to private practice in the State of Illinois.
His extensive transactional and commercial law experience and prudent counsel have proven to be a tremendous benefit to the firm’s business clientele. He has provided a broad range of experience in employment law matters, non-competition agreements, asset purchase agreements, stock repurchase agreements, commercial property development, lease negotiations, profit sharing plans, joint ventures, business formations and dissolutions, and tax related issues. His counsel has been instrumental in facilitating the acquisition, sale and transfer of multi-million dollar business ventures while minimizing the tax ramifications thereof.
William Kelley’s numerous professional and civic memberships reflect his energy and vision. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Northwest Suburban Bar Association, and Federal Trial Bar. Bill currently serves as co-chair of the Bench-Bar Committee and is on the Board of Governors to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association. Bill is also an active member of the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council as well as the Estate Planning Committee and Judicial Review Committee to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
